For polka_dots: In which Tae looks like he doesn't like alcohol but is drinking anyway. Like so many other Tae/Yuri&Sungmin/Soyeon things, so close to our truth and yet so far. XD

...I should be sleeping finishing an exchange fic that was due 11 minutes ago, but I've just been horribly distracted by nostalgia. Oh dear.

Being the person who is basically a floater at a retail establishment is turning out to mean I get the schedule that is best summarized as "????" This is the first time I've logged on in about a week, I think, and I'll probably be MIA from AIM for a little while longer until I stop being so tired when I come home from work, but I am still pokable in any entry here if anyone needs me!

In other news, we had a record weekend in sales. Saturday was much better than Friday, though, partly because we didn't have to open at 7am (which, I know, is nothing compared to some stores, but considering we had no special Black Friday deals, still seemed unneccessary - but alas, mall rules) and partly because of a mother/daughter team of Russians who are big jewelry fans.

So at least I am being productive somewhere, though once I get home, I am dead.

Am failing at coming up with questions that seem potentially interesting/funny. >.> I suppose sleep might help with that.

In the style of those old cracky Marvel comics, pose a hypothetical question about one of my characters (What if Kery actually had morals? What if Ophelia hadn't been shot? What if IDK, XD!Alex not been such a ho? On that note, what if Tais had actually figured out he could do odd jobs that weren't... being a 'door to door salesman'?) and I will babble on about what that would have been like.

Don't forget to change the examples in parentheses to ones that are for your own characters if you re-post the meme!

Just a head's up for anyone who may need me to be coherent in the next few days: I am working 8+ hour shifts Thurs/Fri/Sat, which is probably not a big deal to those of you with regular jobs, but I am a temporary/on-call type, so going from many days with no work to a week with 35 hours messes with my brain. XD

The on-callness also means I may be working again next week, but ofc, no one has told me when yet.

I'm also theoretically still attempting NaNoWriMo, and I have a fic exchange fic due December 1st that I should start soon. >.> But I'm sure I'll find ways to distract myself.

Also, am craving popcorn. :3

Also, he has way too many Halloween costume possiblities, thanks to Korea dressing up their popstars in odd outfits. I mean, just with the ones that are somewhat Halloween-related, there's there's a pumpkin, ghost girl (okay, that one's unlikely ICly), cat, and a pretty awesome spider hat.

...he'd probably just dress up as Korea's Robin Hood a ninja if he did at all. Or maybe wear the spider hat, if those legs don't qualify it as a weapon.

Hi, new friends! I am Liz.

I did not really expect to ever use this IJ again after I stopped RPing in, oh, 2008, but then some people I know said, "Hey, you should do this meme," and then, "Hey, you should look at this game," and now I am here again. Maybe I should pretty things up more...

Right now, my only character is Taehwa Kang/butterflykick but I may have the inklings of another in my head (lies, they're more than merely inklings :X). There is a gif community dedicated to his PB on Livejournal, and I like to steal things from there in lieu of actually saying things in posts sometimes, but I will try to not be too obnoxious about it. XP

Day 29 - how you began rping

I saw an ad at the X-men: Evolution comm I was in on LJ, and while I'd seen a bunch of RPG ads before, this was the first I'd paid attention to that was perfectly fine with first-time players. So I app-ed for Rahne, and ended up picking up Scott too, because no one else wanted to play him. >.> It was a very laidback game, which was a really nice way to start. I ended up joining a 616 canon game after that, again as Rahne, and it was there that I met Kitty, who played Emma Frost at XC as well (and Betsy/Clare at XU, among others), and who encouraged me to apply at XC. And once I moved to GJ, everything exploded. :D

Day 30 - least favorite ‘ship (crack or otherwise)

I'm sure I can think up crackships that I like less than this, but I would probably get carried away. I am not fond of the Scott/Jean/Logan triangle. I have seen it played well before, but I think I just got tired of its existence seeming to be an assumed fact of life for X-men things.

Day 28 - another pet peeve

Disclaimer: I swear I had thought about this before Jenni posted her's.

Real Answer: One-note characters, mostly in terms of IC interaction, and especially with characters in a large game who seem to have been created solely for the purpose of getting into a Relationship (usually a smexy/lovey one, but could be siblings, BFFs, whatever) with another character. They'll interact with more than just that other character, but it's usually brief (if it's like, an open log where someone who wasn't their beloved replied), or somehow comes back to the topic of that other pup. I don't really have a problem with someone applying for a character with a goal in mind - I mean, I'm pretty sure I created XD!Alex initially to be obnoxious to Scott :P - but it's when they pursue that without bothering to develop relationships with any of the 50+ other characters that may be floating around that bugs me.

I had totally thought of an answer for this yesterday, and now I can't remember who it was.

Perhaps it was Nikki's Irenes, since I was re-reading an old Shiro/Sun/Irene log I had forgotten about. >.> It could've also been XU!Emma and/or XC!Emma (for different reasons, XU!Emma was a bit intimidating especially for Alex, and Kitty's comic version Emma was just a lot of fun). Or I could just do this the way Liv did, by player, but I want to eat lunch instead. >.>

Day 23 - band/artist/song that gives you muse

I had songs for all of my pups, but I won't list them all. :P Artist-wise, these came up at least a few times: Something Corporate, Thea Gilmore, Vienna Teng, Jimmy Eat World, Val Emmich, and Stars. I'm sure there are more.

Day 18 - a plot you’d like to do in the future

I was really interested in seeing where Ashkelon was headed, and I would've loved to have played my pups more, and gotten to know other peoples' pups more, too, so... I guess I would want to play out whatever mysterious adventurousness awaited. Or would have wanted to? Judging by how ??? my brain is about this potential new pup, I'm not sure how well doing this in the future would work out. XD

To go with my comic OTP, Betsy and Warren - I've played them a few places, but XC is the one that stands out, and was really a storybook sort of romance, just with near-death experiences and idiotic student types to deal with along the way. :P To go with the pairing I found most interesting and surprisingly unpredictable (and yet not... and I don't say that just because she's a precog) to play out, it'd be XD's Alex and Irene.

Dreams/visions~ I love writing dreams. Anything can happen, but once someone wakes up, all that's left behind is the mental trauma (and sometimes relevant information, if it's a vision/weird telepathic thing). >.>

Incidentally, I had another dream about really detailed sealife last night. What do these dreams meeeaaan? I've been having them for years.

Day 13 - favorite plot you’ve done

I dunno. I did have a lot of fun with the Proteus thing at XD, since as Liv said, it was very well-run (and I didn't have to do any of the running >.>) and a lot of fun and there was a giant hedgepig. I don't remember well what any of my pups did, though, except for Alex... I feel like Kery probably had a headache the whole time. :P

I... well, I can't say I liked the Poccy/Horsemen plot at XU, since I really mucked it up (I mean, it died, and people argued and it was generally unhappy all around) and really failed at good pacing for a secretive plot, but I liked the idea of it. I liked its potential for good-ness. I liked the horsemen. I seriously keep typing 'horsement,' wtf. But alas, it was beyond my modly abilities. :/

And I feel like I am really behind on this meme, so here, have another day!

Day 14 - weirdest plot you’ve joined

Oh, hey, it's related. Weirdest in a crack way would probably be when the XA-ers woke up with their original powers (yes, I'm stealing other peoples' answers for these questions. I don't remember things very well right now, okay). Weirdest in an AU way, No Serenity's premise? I guess it's like a more concentrated WC, but WC has comic logic in my head, which is to say, Things Happen and That's Life and NS was a smashing of two very-similar-and-yet-not universes.

Or maybe I just think of playing River Tam when I think of weird and RP. >.>

Day 12 - a graphic you’re proud of

HMMMM. I have done a lot of graphics for RPs. I'm proud of the icon walls I used to just in principle, because even though they were mostly pretty simple, I can't believe I made that many icons in a day.

I like a lot of my old banners because I feel like they were more... unique, or something, than a lot of what I put together now. Though I'm sure I used the same techniques, sometimes I look at them and feel like I put more effort in, just 'cause there are usually more images involved and probably some hair-dying. :P

Though I did go through a phase where I used big arrows a lot, and I don't quite get it now.

OH. I am also really proud of how the Ashkelon Icon Battle turned out. It was definitely a new challenge, and very fun, and we should do another one, Liv. >.>

Day 11 - a memory

Memories:

- When C wrote in bright yellow text (on a gray background) for Jubilee in XU's first-ish log, and kept bolding/underlining Jubes's name or something. As a mod who was still a relatively new player, this was a surprise. XD

- Being surprised - and a bit suspicious, actually - when Nikki, Liv and Lauren's apps all came in at once. Also being majorly impressed by Nikki's Nori, in particular.

- That one guy who applied for XU with a character he insisted was from comic canon, but was really an OC played by someone else on a forum game.

- Trying really hard to get into XA. And succeeding!

All J-Rock... and therefore, arguably all J-Pop and K-Pop - Liv has been a great enabler. XD Specifically, it started with Miyavi (I don't remember the first song), Hyde/L'Arc~en~Ciel (Hello/Stay Away), Gackt (Fragrance) and Dir en grey ([KR] Cube).

Also, I believe... Missy Higgins (due to Kathy), Ben Jelen (due to XD!JP), and Guster (due to Jeff), among others.
